Ray Burton's hands are poised to make notes about a problem that a constituent has related to him. When Ray Burton had committed a friend's needs to paper on his renowned 3x5 cards. They were never filed away permanently until Ray had received satisfaction for his constituent, no matter how long that took. Ray Burton was my friend and my political mentor. He was the paradigm of a great political leader who never lost touch with the people he served.
