Wayne King's image "The Road Darkens" has been chosen for a juried show at the Kehler Liddell Gallery in New Haven, CT. The exhibition: "One Planet, One Home" focuses on the challenges of Climate Change.

The image is part of a Climate Change series King has been working on for the past two years. The image alludes to the growing crisis. The image is a color montage of several different images including elements of photography and watercolor painting. Wayne Kings Work Included In Eastman Show

NH Artist Wayne King's Images are included in a new show at the Eastman South Cove Activity Center at Road Round the Lake, Grantham, NH 03753.

The TITLE OF EXHIBIT: “Center for the Arts at Eastman” reflects the fact that art created by members of the New London based NH Center for the Arts.

The show runs from Mar 5-May 27, 2017

Local Art Live POP UP Show And Sale Coming To Plymouth, NH

Local Art Live POP UP Sale and show features artists from central New Hampshire and offers great opportunity to purchase unique holiday gifts for loved ones and friends. The sale will be held November 17-19 at at 91 Main Street in Plymouth New Hampshire. A reception to benefit "Voices Against Violence" of the Plymouth area will be held from 6-9pm on Friday November 18. Live music by Holly Furlone will be a feature of the evening as well as face painting, raffles and drawings. Each artist will be contributing a portion of their proceeds to Voices as well.

Among the artists are organizers Wayne King and Michelle Dunn well known artists in the region and beyond. Dunn will exhibit her oil paintings and prints for sale. A new montage image combining some of the New Hampshire North Country's most treasured assets: quaint chapels and fields of lupine has recently been created by artist Wayne King of Rumney, New Hampshire.. Judges at the 2016 "Focus on Figures" show at the North River Arts Society in Marshfield Hills MA have selected Wayne King's image "Facing the Island" as "Best in Show" recipient for this years competition. The image captured on the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness captures a silhouetted male in the early morning sunlight with a single lone island off in the distance. The ripples around the ankles of the figure capture the rays of the rising sun and add a time dimension to the general mood of the image. Three images by Wayne King have been selected for the 2016 "Focus on Figures" show at the North River Arts Society in Marshfield Hills MA. I'm very excited that these images have been selected for this show.

Established in 1968, the North River Arts Society (NRAS) is a grass roots non-profit organization fostering participation and appreciation of the arts. The Society is governed by a Board of Directors and resides at the G.A.R. Hall, 157 Old Main Street in Marshfield Hills.

The NRAS offers classes for adults and children, a Festival of the Arts, Members Show, Childrens' Day, Holiday Arts Sale, workshops, scholarships, financial aid, newsletters, discounts for classes and supplies, musical and theatrical performances at the hall, a writers workshop, and exhibits at Ventress Library Gallery, Dolphin Gallery, G.A.R. Wayne King Images Chosen For Fauna 2015 International Exhibition

Los Angeles-based Linus Gallery recently announced the winners of a call for artists in a juried competition titled "Fauna". Among those images chosen were two images by New Hampshire-based artist Wayne King. Chosen for the exhibition were "Pelican Mindscape" and "Knee Deep in Zebras".

"Pelican Mindscape" is a mixed media image combining elements of photography and painting. The image was printed from a negative through textured glass, hand-painted using Marshall oils and then scanned for output using archival inks in an edition of 100 16" x 24" prints, signed by the artist and available at an affordable $195. King Images Chosen for Juried Cotton Cancer Center Exhibition

Two images by Rumney, NH artist Wayne King have been chosen for display in the Juried exhibition "Healing with Art".

Raining Umbrellas is a mixed media montage image with elements of both photography and water color painting. It is a happy and colorful image blending an image of umbrellas flying through the air and a cloudscape painted with watercolors. The images are blended together on a single base image which is scanned for output on cotton rag fine art paper with archival inks.

Joy in the Splash Zone shows a young child experiencing pure joy as he flees from the splash of a water attraction at Canopy Lake Amusement Park in New Hampshire.

The images will be displayed at the Oncology Center Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH from May to August of 2015.
