Four King Images Selected for "All Animals" Competition

Of a total of five images submitted by Wayne King judges selected four images as winners in the competition.

"I'm pleased that so many of the images I submitted to this competition have been chosen for recognition." said King. Animals, with whom we share the planet have a special place in the hearts of many people. Everyone has their favorites. Some tend toward the domestic others to the denizens of the wild. To me all of them have special meaning and I do my best to try and capture them in a way that recognizes our commonalities."

"Sacred Trust" Book Signing and Discussion with author former Senator Wayne D. King at Mill Brook Gallery, Concord NH

Artist, author and former State Senator Wayne D. King will be the featured guest at the June 13, 2018 Wednesday’s Wisdom Pot Luck from 6-8 p.m. at Mill Brook Gallery & Sculpture Garden, 236 Hopkinton Road in Concord.

Wayne will be reading from and leading a discussion about his novel "Sacred Trust" described by the author as a thinly disguised critique of the Northern Pass proposal and others like it, cloaked in a rollicking campaign of civil disobedience, environmental patriotism and economic sanity.

In a move likely to raise the hairs on the back of your neck former State Senator Wayne D. King has used the vehicle of his new novel “Sacred Trust” to unveil a long-held secret involving a group of State Senators, arrested while driving North in the Southbound lane of Interstate 93 after a long night of drinking at the famed Highway Hotel in Concord.

“Most of the people in the story are no longer living, after all it did happen in the early 1980s,” said King when asked about this recently at a book signing. “The story was recounted to me by a Senate colleague who was a part of the whole fiasco so I’m confident that it actually happened, though there’s no way to know just how much he embellished the tale.”

Wayne King's Art on Exhibit in Lincoln Aug 2-30, 2017

August is the second month of a two month exhibition of images by Rumney-based artist Wayne King.
The exhibit features some of King’s most popular images including Alton Washday and Wonalancet Mindscape.

Wayne D. Kings images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into what he calls "a dreamlike quintessentialism" designed to spark an emotional response. Using digital enhancement, handcrafting, painting, and sometimes even straight photography, King seeks to take the viewer to a place that is beyond simple truth to where truth meets passion, hope and dreams.

A community reception is scheduled for Friday August 18 from 6pm-8pm at the library.

Wayne King's Images on Exhibit at Byron Merrill Library Rumney Aug 2-30, 2017

Celebration of Rumney's 250th Anniversary includes New Book


"A Spot on the Porch" is the title of an exhibit of images by Rumney-based artists Wayne and Alice King.


The exhibit is part of the town's ongoing celebrations of its 250th Anniversary. Wayne's images will be exhibited at the Byron Merrill Library and Alice's Gemstone Bead work will be exhibited at the Rumney Post office from August 2 - 30 2017.

As a part of the exhibit Wayne King has produced a book of the same title. A Spot on the Porch is available from Amazon.com in paperback and hard cover editions. There is also a card, calendar and poster and postage stamp coming soon.
