Hidden off the beaten path in the California town of Bishop is this area called the Alabama Hills. It is an area that has often been used for shooting Western Movies and adventure movies like Gunga Din. The rock formations are stunning and varied. This image is a montage that includes elements of photography and watercolor painting. The sky is painted with watercolors and the image is then scanned at a very high resolution for reproduction in a limited edition of 50 signed prints.
